We are so excited to welcome your children to Orot this Yom Kippur!
We’ve put a tremendous amount of thought and preparation into creating a program that is fun, safe, organized, and meaningful for our kids — while allowing their parents to participate in the Yom Kippur services with peace of mind.
Before your child can join us, there is ONE final step for you to complete.
As part of registration, every parent agreed to watch the short Parent Orientation Video and review the Geulah Kids Program Policies & Procedures before the program begins. This is required for every family participating in the program, even if your child has attended an Orot kids program before.
It should only take a few minutes — and it will help Sunday and Monday run much more smoothly for everyone.

There is important information here about how the program will operate, including arrival and check-in, supervision, meals and snacks, behavior expectations, pickup, and other things you need to know before your child joins the program.

We know everyone is busy getting ready for Yom Kippur. But these instructions aren’t just formalities — they are what allow our team to safely and successfully care for a large group of children for an extended day.
Every parent needs to know how the program works before arriving.
Before Yom Kippur, please make sure you and your children are aware of these important program policies:
Because this is Yom Kippur and we are working hard to create a meaningful Jewish environment for our children, electronics will not be permitted in the Kids Program rooms. Please make sure phones, tablets, gaming devices, smartwatches, and other electronics are left with a parent before your child enters the program.
Our program is not an allergy-free environment. If your child has food allergies or special dietary needs, parents are responsible for determining whether the food being provided is appropriate for their child and, when necessary, sending appropriate food from home. Any dairy products brought into the program must be Cholov Yisrael.
We understand that kids are kids! Most behavioral issues will be handled using our three-strike policy, as explained in the Parent Orientation Video. However, physical violence, verbal abuse, or aggressive behavior toward another child or staff member will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the program.

Before completing your Parent Orientation, you are required to read the Geulah Kids Program Policies & Procedures in full.
Even if you reviewed these policies when you originally registered your child, every parent must review them again before Yom Kippur. At the end of this page, you will be asked to confirm that you have watched the complete Parent Orientation Video and read and understood the Policies & Procedures.
These policies are in place so that our team can provide a safe, happy, respectful, and well-organized experience for every child in our care.
